Vladimir Kagan’s Venetian vintage sofa was first launched in 1953. In 2001 designer Tom Ford helped kick-start another act, commissioning the sectional modular 1969 Omnibus sofa for all 360 Gucci stores — exposing Kagan’s name to a wider market nd now being reissued by Ralph Pucci International. Elegant simplicity is personified in this splendid design.
Four loose pillow backs and two seat cushions allow personalized comfort for each person. On a classic Vladimir Kagan sculptured walnut wood base that is finished in rubbed oil. The arms flow gently into the back of the chair, all part of Kagan’s master plan. Devotees include Giorgio Armani and Andre Balazs.
