Rare tiffany co silver mounted ladys bicycle up for grabs

A rare Tiffany & Company Silver Mounted lady’s bicycle will be offered at an upcoming auction at Bonhams NY in early June. This superb 1890s built Tiffany fixed gear bicycle is fitted with carved ivory handles and a Brooks saddle.

The lot description says that only a few such luxury two-wheelers were produced and one of them was specially made for Lillian Russell, one of the most famous actresses and singers of the late 19th century and early 20th century, known for her beauty and style, as well as for her voice and stage presence. The spectacular silver mounted lady’s bike is expected to sell for between $50,000 and $70,000.
