Patek Philippe watches for him and her in Antiquorum first auction of 2008

Antiquorum, the world’s leading watch auctioneer, begins 2008 with an excellent sale including more than 800 lots. In the month of March, the first Spring auction entitled Important Collectors’ Watches, Pocket Watches & Clocks will be held at the Grand Hotel Kempinski in Geneva. Patek Philippe Yellow Gold 2499 Fourth Series and Patek Philippe, Geneve, Ref. 3100-32 caught my attention from the long list of time stopping timepieces.

The former is Very fine, rare, and important, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with round button chronograph, 30-minute register, perpetual calendar, moon phases. Made in 1977, this watch is estimated to go under the hammer for Euro 180.000 -240.000 ($271,000 - $363,000). The latter is a jeweled watch for her from the same brand.

A magnificent, extremely rare and elegant lady’s diamond bracelet conceals a watch. It is set with a total of 33.02 carats of baguette, marquise and brilliant cut diamonds Platinum, “Grand Réveil“. This dazzling timepiece is estimated at Euro 40.000 -60.000 ($60,000 - $90,000). The beautiful catalogue, in a modernized design, comprises important timepieces spanning several centuries of fine watch making, including a private collection of Jaeger LeCoultre watches.
