To celebrate its 150th birthday Swiss most expensive watches maker TAG Heuer will re-launched in February 2010 Silverstone chronograph watch that was originally released in 1974. The first Silverstone chronographs were equipped by the revolutionary Chronomatic Calibre 11 movement. It was the first self-winding automatic watch with micro rotor and a cut-shaped case. 2010 re-edition of the TAG Heuer Silverstone Anniversary watch will be powered by an updated version of the Calibre 11 with Dubois-Depraz module.
The latest edition of the Silverstone also celebrates TAG Heuer’s history by featuring the brand’s original Heuer logo, which is flanked on the dial by two silver counters at 3 and 9 o’clock. Stainless steel pushbuttons at 2 and 4 o’clock, a hand-applied date window at 6 o’clock and curved, sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective treatment complete the watch’s look. Silverstone Anniversary Chronograph Watch is offered in a rich blue or brown dial on a matching, perforated alligator strap. There will be available a limited edition of just 1,500 pieces per each color. Price: about $6,500. Via:  watches.infoniac |
