MB&F or Maximilian Büsser & Friends watch is a piece of art created by the American artist Sage Vaughn. It features a bright blue butterfly trapped in the movement and it has no hope of escaping, because the complicated movement is wrapped in barbed wire. This emotionally charged piece interpretation of MB&F’s Horological Machine N°2. This most expensive luxury watch was auctioned at the Monaco Only Watch auction on 24 September 2009 under the patronage of HSH Prince Albert II.

After a swift battle between a Hong Kong and a Thai collector on the Net, and an American collector on the phone, the unique MB&F HM2 timepiece was bought by Hong Kong enthusiast for $85, 240 USD. MB&F Only HM2 has the full gamut of HM2’s indications: Instantaneous Jumping Hour, Concentric Retrograde Minutes, Retrograde Date, Bi-Hemisphere Moon-Phase plus Automatic Winding.
