On October 15, a new most expensive hotel under the Design Hotels umbrella was opened up in East Hamburg, Germany. The George hotel, decorated by interior designer Sibylle von Heyden mimics old, English-style social clubs, complete with library, two clubrooms, England garden, a smoker’s lounge filled with leather furniture, a Mediterranean restaurant and the rooftop terrace. Colorful Indian saris add dashes of spice as bedspreads in the guestrooms, while Chesterfield furniture brings elegance to the library. The spa is inspired by Marrakech design and lavish carpets throughout the hotel lend a very clubroom feel.
This one of the most expensive hotels includes one hundred eighteen luxuriously furnished rooms, five exquisitely equipped junior suites and two elegant suites with Alster views stretch over seven floors. Adjacent to the large roof terrace is a modern spa area. Its expensive glass front offers a unique view of Hamburg’s colorful St. Georg district. All spaces in the hotel can be booked separately and exclusively. Price: approx. 159 Euros per night. Via:  luxury-insider |
