Most expensive hotel: London NYC hotel

London NYC hotel was opened in fall 2006 in the space previously occupied by the old Rihga Royal Hotel. Since that time, James Blunt, Halle Berry, Jennifer Hudson, Usher and Alanis Morissette have all been guests. And “it’s sexy to have a duplex amongst the clouds”, - says David Collins, the London-based Irish decorator whose clients include Madonna and Vivienne Westwood. David is responsible for the luxury interiors at this most expensive hotel.

But recently the London NYC hotel was completed by opening of its duplex Penthouse suite on the 53rd and 54th floors. The 2,500 sq.-ft. spread is the highest hotel suite in New York City, according to the company. For $15,000 a night—the price you’ll pay to sleep closer to the stars (human and otherwise)—the hotel throws in a bottle of vintage champagne with canapés from the kitchen of Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay, a continental breakfast with traditional afternoon tea, and a private concierge and driver.
