There were lots of rumors about pricing of most expensive car - Ferrari 250 GTO. These rumors showed up on the FerrariChat forums and no one confirmed it so far. And at last Ferrari 250 GTO shattered all records by fetching $28.5 million, including a commission of $500,000. The seller was in Scotland, buyer is in England. The deal was brokered by a prominent California Ferrari store.

Only 39 models of the legendary Ferrari 250 GTO model were ever built, from 1962 to 1964. It was already considered one of the most valuable cars in the world, previously thought to have been worth approximately €14 million. Powered by a three-litre V12 engine, the 302-horsepower Ferrari 250 GTO can reach speeds of 283km per hour.
