Back in 2006, Arash Farboud was snubbed by Ferrari when he requested a shiny new Enzo. Apparently they didn’t feel the inherited fortune made in pharmaceuticals was enough to make him Ferrari material. Undaunted, Arash decided to pull a Deuce-move and thumbed his nose at Ferrari, building his own supercar. He pulled together the Farbio GTS as a proof of concept, and for the British Motor Show unveiled a concept car called the Arash AF10, a carbon fiber, Corvette-powered Enzo killer. The Arash AF10 may not have caused much of a stir when it debuted at the British Motor Show as a concept in 2006.
But this mid-engined carbon-fiber clad sportscar possesses some excellent performance capabilities that could challenge the likes of the Gallardos and F430s. A Corvette LS7 7.0 liter V8 engine outputs over 530bhp, with options of an upgrade to the more powerful ZR1’s LS9 6.2 liter turbocharged V8 when it becomes available in about a year’s time. This will increase the power output to 638bhp and 585 lb-ft of torque. Only a maximum of 20 Arash AF10 will be produced annually, with a price of £172,000 each. Via: luxury-insider |
