High-end mobile maker Vertu has launched its latest limited edition Vertu Ascent Ti Damascus Steel. As it claimed this luxury phone is made of super strong steel manufactured using an ancient steel forging method, with a technique also used for the manufacture of all sorts of swords, including the famous Japanese Samurai blades. Only 100 Damascus Steel models were produced. New Vertu model sports a swirl design that has been etched by hand, which translates into the fact that, practically, each single item from this limited series is a unique product. The price is still unknown.
Vertu Ascent Ti Damascus Steel will share some of the features of the other devices from the Ascent TI series, including QVGA display, S40 user interface, 3G and Quadband GSM/UMTS coverage worldwide, Bluetooth, a 3.2-megapixel embedded camera with auto-focus and LED flash, as well as a 4GB memory module. Size will probably be the same, namely 115.5mm x 49mm, at a weight of roughly 160 grams. Via:  gadgets.softpedia |
