Bowmore, one of the first and oldest legal distilleries on Islay, founded in 1779 by John Simpson, offers rather luxury drink - Black Bowmore Scotch, distilled on November 5, 1964. This vintage spirit is the first of three limited edition colour releases - Black, White and Red. It has a limited edition of 827 bottles that was bottled from 5 Oloroso sherry casks. The scotches name “Black” was derived from the very unusually dark colour of the whisky. The drink’s taste has incredible aromas of exotic fruits, ginger and cinnamon, and it’s almost ebony in colour, with incredible aromas of exotic fruits, ginger and cinnamon. The palate is rewarded with hints of ripe mango, toffee and dark chocolate with the faintest hint of the smokey Bowmore signature. The finish is luxurious, creamy and warm. Price: £2,350.
