His latest creation, Repetition Souveraine, is an ultra-slim Minute Repeater that builds on his mastery of one of the most sophisticated horological complications.

Employing the same flat gong that debuted with the Grande Sonnerie, a new method of strike selections mechanism – by using the same hammer to sound off hours and minutes but with a slight pause inserted in between – was Journe’s masterstroke in freeing up space, and yet deliver crystal clear striking tones, in a movement that measures barely 4mm thick.
