New Bond Street in London is a heart of Louis Vuitton’s boutiques in London since it first opened its doors there in 1900. The new Louis Vuitton’s maison was opened at New Bond Street on May 28th 2010. This Maison reflects Louis Vuitton’s rare art-de-vivre and savoir-faire. The new London LV boutique was designed by the New York-based architect. It features two-storey wall of trunks and a glass and LED staircase. The 15,000 sq ft store is designed to reflect the 21st century mood of London and bring together innovation, heritage and fashion - “all values that are important to Louis Vuitton,” M. Carcelle, Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, said. To mark the opening, the stylist and magazine editor, Katie Grand, was curating a “mini-retrospective” of Marc Jacobs’s designs for Louis Vuitton, the first-ever assemblage of the cream of his collections since he was appointed creative director of the brand 12 years ago.
