Fashion designer handbags & accessories: Venetian Carnivale Masks

I was impressed to see a range of Venetian carnival masks. A beautifully handmade and hand painted carnival mask are crafted in Venice, Italy. No two masks are ever identical. Most of all I liked 2 masks - Volto Carnivale and Volto Ferro Gold and Silver masks. The “Volto” was the more common mask used in Venice for centuries. Volto means “face” to design that is was the most common, simplest mask. These masks are perfect to be worn at your next Masquerade Ball, Mardi Gras Event or Venetian Carnivale.

Volto Carnivale mask (shown above) is handcrafted from paper mache. It is beautifully painted in white with black designs covering the eyes and cheeks. Black painted lips and a black teardrop add a whimsical melancholy touch. The mask also makes a perfect accent to any room or office and has a hanging loop on the inside of the mask for your hanging convenience. Dimensions: 9 ј” high, 6” wide and 4 Ѕ” deep. Price: $120.

Volto Ferro Gold or Silver mask (shown above) are beautifully hand painted and decorated in 24kt gold or silver leaf. It resembles segmented metal plates that cover the entire face with the exception of the nose mouth and chin. Metallic rivets add a striking touch. Dimensions: 9 ј” high, 6” wide and 4 Ѕ” deep.
