Caran d’Ache’s 1010 Limited Edition fountain pen was inspired by iconic Swiss watchmaking industry and took its name 1010 by ‘ten minutes past ten’, because at current moment the watches’ dial is perfectly balanced. The limited edition pen’s body is produced from of rhodium-coated silver or gold with a balance wheel that sits comfortably betwixt two rubies and under a sapphire dome. The cap is inspired by watch crowns and is polished by hand. The clip suggests a watch hand and is attached to a pinion.
