Nucleo, a collective of artists and designers, in the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy, exhibits two unique pieces, two tables at Officine Grandi Riparazioni, Torino. The exhibition is curated by Enzo Biffi Gentili and open between the 17th March – 17th of November, 2011. The Officine Grandi Riparazioni is a fascinating and monumental industrial building complex from the late nineteenth century, originally built for construction and maintenance of locomotives.

The two tables represent two distinctive and important features of the creation of the Italian identity. They are inspired by the myths of two organizations that together shaped the history of the unification of Italy. Carboniferous is designed and created by Piergiorgio Robino and Stefania Fersini. The Carboniferous table is influenced by the illegal congregation of the Carbonari and tells the Italian story of secrecy and conspiracy. Dimensions: 2660 x 1190 x 720cm.

During Milan Design Week Perrier-Jouët Champagne house presented a new artistic enterprise, the Flower Table. This unique champagne tasting table is a result of prolific partnership with the designer Noe Duchaufour-Lawrance, to pay tribute to the symbolic anemone designed by Emile Gale.

To accompany the French Designer’s work and fully appreciate the tasting experience, Perrier-Jouët invited 3-star Michelin French Chef Anne-Sophie Pic, to come up with some culinary delicacies to sample around the Flower Table. Anne-Sophie Pic created a series of beautiful “Amuse-Bouches”, a real concentrate of sensorial emotions, in perfect harmony with Perrier-Jouët Cuvées.
