Lanvin, France’s oldest high couture fashion house, established in 1889 by designer Jeanne Lanvin. Since 1909 Lanvin took the place of Couture fashion house. Since 2001 Lanvin’s designer and creative direction Alber Elbaz’s improved the house’s conception and now it gratifies us by stylish footwear, bags and accessories.

Alber Elbaz’s designed cute “Little Miss Lanvin” illustrations on some cheeky t-shirts and sweaters. In cooperation with the porcelain company Franz were created “Little Miss Lanvin” dolls. Each season there will be 6 new limited edition porcelain dolls, with just 800 released. Priced: $345 per each.

At the end of March Rhizome introduced to the world “The Rhizome 50,000 Dollar Webpage” Equal parts fundraiser, art collaboration and billboard, the initiative aims to raise $50,000 for Rhizome by selling 1,000,000 pixels of webspace at 5 cents per pixel. “The Rhizome 50,000 Dollar Webpage” accepted all kinds of ads and/or images that will be linked to the URL of your choice. On June 4th Rhizome reported that already 358,000 Pixels were sold!

Rhizome modeled the page off the work of the British student Alex Tew, who sold pixels for tuition on his Million Dollar Homepage in 2005. “I really welcomed the idea of doing something nontraditional,” says Lauren Cornell, Rhizome’s executive director and an adjunct curator at the New Museum, which is based in New York.
