Jaeger-LeCoultre, Swiss luxury watch maker, has designed the perfect Bond watch for the owners of the Aston-Martin DBS. The AMVOX2 DBS Transponder watch has been designed as a technological partner for the V12-engined DBS. The chronograph integrates the transponder circuit into its serving to lock and unlock the luxury sports car, while maintaining the functions of its famous vertical-trigger mechanism. As the driver nears the car, all he need to do is press the OPEN position on the watch glass (between 8 and 9 o’clock) in order to activate the door opening system, whereas doing the same thing on the CLOSE position between 3 and 4 o’clock will close the vehicle.

The case and dial of the AMVOX2 DBS Transponder are highly detailed, featuring a suspended metallic grey DBS symbol, a discrete Aston Martin emblem on the movement operating indicator and ruthenium grey bridges, satin finish and a black dial that all evoke the DBS’s instrument panel. The outer dial ring also has an opening that reveals the internal mechanisms of the chronograph. These most expensive watches has been created for 18 months. The luxury watches will be available for €27.500 in December, 2008.

Swiss watch manufacturer Ernst Benz has created the Beijing 2008 Limited Edition ChronoScope specially for 2008 Summer Olympics. The 47mm luxury watch has been done in 2 different dial executions, Noir (Black) and Vermilion (China Red) with both versions limited to only 88 pieces hand-finished in brushed stainless steel. Exclusively handcrafted, 88 of each of these stainless steel watches will be out for $5,800. However raising the bar of exclusivity, the watch maker has a special limited edition up its sleeve. Only 8 eight pieces per dial will be available in Black PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coated brushed steel for a little extra, that is $6,800.

Boasting of a Chinese-themed packaging, you can opt for a black with red stitching or vice versa combination in the hand-stitched alligator straps. So all you Olympics buffs, if the Omega Olympic series is beyond your reach (just like the gold medals), then this timepiece isn’t a bad bargain either. Though not as elegant as the majestic Omega, the red and clack comb is striking.
