Ferrari Enzo wearing the body of the F430 Scuderia looks it may well have gone unnoticed. The project is currently known as FX70. The first option would be to continue in the tradition of the first Enzo and pack a powerful V12 engine in, however the Prancing horse may look to downsize to a Twin-turbo V8. The design might resemble a 348 or some 355 components modified but actually it is the flamboyant Enzo supercar. The extravagance of the car is sure to make your jaws drop.

The latter of the two would see a power figure of between 50hp and 100hp lower than its larger alternative, but the weight saving advantages could see the performance maintained. The new Enzo could arrive as soon as 2010, but considering the test vehicles haven’t made it past mule form yet, this seems unlikely. We will probably see it in either 2011 or 2012 with a price tag of at least
$500,000 and a production run of around 300 vehicles.

2010 Bentley Supersports was conceived to compete with cars like the Ferrari 599 Fiorano and the Aston Martin DBS, the rear seats hit the dumpster entirely. This, and extensive use of carbon-fiber trim, saved another 57 pounds in the cabin. Massive carbon-ceramic front rotors bleed off speed, and you’ll flick the downshift paddle numerous times in preparation for the low-speed first corner. Aluminum suspension components help sticky Pirellis bite hard, and once past the apex, you’ll throttle the twin-turbocharged, 12-cylinder engine’s 590 pound-feet of torque. The Supersports’ new 20-inch wheels weigh 5.5 pounds a corner less than those on other Continentals. All the abs crunches led to over 242 pounds less girth.

“We had one group of engineers working on getting more power out of our 6.0-liter W-12 engine,” says Brian Gush, Bentley’s director of Powertrain and Chassis Engineering. “Another was addressing vehicle weight reduction. A third was working on the ZF transmission, in search of quicker shifts. We decided to meld these efforts together, add a body/chassis improvement program, and make the ultimate Continental GT.” Welcome to the latest, hottest, best-performing model in the Continental lineup, called Supersports.

Porsche uncovers the 2011 Cayman R. The Cayman R hits the scales 121 pounds lighter than the run-of-the mill hard top. Porsche engineers also threw in a slight pump in power, throwing the final figure from the 3.4-liter flat lump to 330 horsepower at 7,400 RPMs. At 27 miles per gallon, the 2011 Porsche Cayman R is a surprisingly fuel efficient beast for something that can go 0-60 in 4.7 seconds.

Porsche has fitted the Cayman S with new 19-inch lightweight wheels, and aesthetic tweaks like a subtle stripe package, contrasting-color mirrors and black-accented headlight bezels. Boasting a top track speed of 175 mph, it may not be the fastest car in the world, but it will win drag races 9 times out of 10. Cayman R is a back-to-basics auto, and you’ve got to respect the hell out of it for being bold enough to admit it. Just 19 examples were built.

Murcialago’s replacement would be Aventador LP700-4. Spanish–English translation via Google yields the result that Aventador simply means “fan” or, as it claimed, “one who dares”. Lamborghini Aventador will have a 700hp V12 which will be enough to sling the Aventador at the horizon – well, 60mph – in well under 3 seconds, use lots of carbon fibre and be massively lighter than the Murci.

But of course all this could be Lamborghini flim-flam. It could be a daft Italian joke on the Matador or Toreador or Picador line; just as a diversion for the real name. There’s a really small outside chance we could see this cr at the LA Auto Show next week, but it is more likely that this beast will be unleashed at Geneva next March.

The 2010 Jaguar XKR Goodwood is a special edition for the 2009 Goodwood Festival of Speed powered by a 5.0 liter V8 producing 530-hp. That’s 20-hp more then the traditional 2010 XKR and this Jaguar comes in radical lime green color. Mike O’Driscoll, Managing Director, Jaguar Cars, said: “The XKR ‘Goodwood Special’ has been developed as a one-off to explore the harder side of the XKR’s character and allow our engineering team to explore some performance boundaries.”

The special edition will also feature retuned suspensions and a more aggressive exhaust system. This pussy cat will take you to 100km/h (62mph) in 4.6 seconds but there is no word as to the top speed. It is unclear whether Jaguar will release this car to the public but if they do, it will be the most powerful production Jaguar since the 1992 Jaguar XJ220.
