Back in 2006, Arash Farboud was snubbed by Ferrari when he requested a shiny new Enzo. Apparently they didn’t feel the inherited fortune made in pharmaceuticals was enough to make him Ferrari material. Undaunted, Arash decided to pull a Deuce-move and thumbed his nose at Ferrari, building his own supercar. He pulled together the Farbio GTS as a proof of concept, and for the British Motor Show unveiled a concept car called the Arash AF10, a carbon fiber, Corvette-powered Enzo killer. The Arash AF10 may not have caused much of a stir when it debuted at the British Motor Show as a concept in 2006.

But this mid-engined carbon-fiber clad sportscar possesses some excellent performance capabilities that could challenge the likes of the Gallardos and F430s. A Corvette LS7 7.0 liter V8 engine outputs over 530bhp, with options of an upgrade to the more powerful ZR1’s LS9 6.2 liter turbocharged V8 when it becomes available in about a year’s time. This will increase the power output to 638bhp and 585 lb-ft of torque. Only a maximum of 20 Arash AF10 will be produced annually, with a price of £172,000 each.

Trident Performance Vehicles have designed and produced a two-seater sports car, more exclusive than prestige cars available now, with innovations throughout, that can reach over 200mph, get from 0-60mph in less than 4 seconds. Trident Iceni is a diesel sports car and if you’re able to obtain any kind of biodiesel, this can be used without any invalidation of warranty, adjustment to the engine or affect on performance. The configuration of the car is traditional front engine, rear wheel drive like the latest Aston Martins and Ferraris. It’s perfect for people who live and work in a city.

The most significant innovation lies in the gearbox which is located in the rear of the car. It’s an 8-speed automatic, controlled by paddle shifts behind the steering wheel. This enables the car to make full use of its huge torque by keeping the engine operating within its peak performance band. Further innovations include a fixed seat position with electrically adjustable pedal box and steering column and four oculight removable roof panels. Price: £75,000 ($150,000).

Most expensive car, 1937 Bugatti, was recently sold for $7.92 million at Gooding & Co.’s auto auction in California. 1937 Bugatti Type 57SC Atalante Coupe was part of the Dr. Peter and Susan Williamson Collection, billed as the world’s finest assemblage of Bugattis, several of which fetched high prices at the sale.

The buyer managed to win a bid of $7.92 million! It won’t really be wise to get this one out on the road in the current day but it will surely adorn someone’s collage of vintage cars. It’s really hard to imagine the next car’s highest price.
