Leonardo 100 is the latest luxury yacht by Azimut Yachts. She’s a 30.75m superyacht with the sleek, sporting lines of an open and the second helm station and relaxation area of a flybridge design. “The Leonardo 100,” says Francesco Ansalone, head of marketing for Azimut Yachts,”is the first of a new line based on a philosophy of generous social spaces and a genuine continuity between interiors and exteriors. One example is the hanging staircase in the saloon. It leads to the upper deck, so that this no longer creates a separate world, as it does on many yachts. “

“Another unusual feature of the Leonardo 100,” Ansalone continues, “is a design that offers special walkways for the crew so they can work outside and move around inside while the guests remain totally unaware of their presence.” Azimut Leonardo 100 superyacht features a massive aft deck with a u-shaped sitting arrangement attached to it. The sitting arrangement can also be changed into comfortable sun beds for the guests. Attached to the aft deck is the dinning room, separated by aft doors, which when opened, connects the two spaces to make a wonderful alfresco dinning space.

The flybridge, located at the floor above the dinning room, features a dining area, sunpads and a Jacuzzi and is protected by an innovative hard top in fiber and crystal glass. A garage can hold a good-sized tender and two jetskis is located on the extreme aft of the lower deck. Inside nestle two 1630 kW MTUs, powering the yacht to top speed of 32 knots and a cruising speed of 29 knots. Leonardo 100 is only the first of the incredible surprises that Azimut Yachts have in store for the near future.

The Burger Boat Company recently launched 46m Sycara IV motor yacht, inspired by 20’s style. The retro design features the aluminum-bodied craft, constructed at design team. Nautical Structures’ designers and engineers developed modern equipment for this project without compromising on the period classic style. The Art Deco interior and 20’s exterior were designed by the acclaimed artist Ken Freivokh from the UK.

The interior woodwork is a real masterpiece of handcrafted mahogany and madrone burl, with ebony, sycamore and padouk accents highlighted with stainless steel details in scores of inlays and moldings. Lalique bathroom fixtures are the finishing Deco touch. Of course the luxury yacht is also equipped with every bit of state-of-the-art tech you’d expect in a modern superyacht, but you have to look hard to find it under all those retro fittings.
