Setzer Design unveils 2 editions to its “Vision Line” of luxury yachts - Cerise and Javelin. Cerise is a sleek 50 meter/165-foot plumb bow, and Javelin is a grand 73 meter/240-foot vessel are the latest to emerge among Setzer Design Group’s new, futuristic Vision Line of mega-yacht designs. The “VL-50” Cerise brings an elegant, refined design to life via the studio’s spin on the plumb-bow trend, yet at a more manageable, main-stream market sizing. Expressed in vivid red, the design’s unique styling is underscored by the long, sweeping, retro elements of its superstructure. With a beam of 9.7M and a draft of 2.6M, Cerise is meant to cleave through the water, cruising at 14 knots speeds with plenty of volume for fuel and water stores.

The “VL-73” Javelin is the largest of the revolutionary Vision Line designs to date and debuts as a blend of grand elegance and streamlining, indicative of this studio’s vision of super mega-yachts to come. A five-deck vessel with large, below-waterline holds and systems spaces, Javelin’s design revolves around a large, circular window suspended between decks amid ship that offers stunning views from its interior stair and elevator corridor. The balance of the superstructure combines long, elegant lines, crisp edges and alcoves that can only come to life from a studio with such wide ranging design successes. Hanseatic Marine’s Silver luxury yacht is certainly a head-turner. The innovative design by Espen Oeino breaks the trend of wider yachts with exceptionally slender lines that almost make the vessel look like a pointer from an aerial view. However, this sleek silhouette certainly doesn’t take away from the yacht’s classic sophistication and elegance. This luxury yacht was carefully tested at the Krylov Institute in St. Petersburg, Russia and at SSPA in Sweden. Even at 240 feet, the Silver’s beam is only 33 feet for an unusually high length-to-beam ratio. The vessel is also very lightweight at 540 tons with an aluminum hull and superstructure. It avoids gas-turbine propulsion systems but boasts a surprising transatlantic capability of 22 knots.

The M/Y Silver is currently available in the Mediterranean for charter through Burgess, Edmiston & Co and YCO Yacht. However, the owner has worldwide plans for the vessel, including the Caribbean and the Indian Ocean, insisting that it has been built to be functional, not just as a beautiful and luxurious showpiece. After the success of the Hanseatic Marine’s Silver and now that the owner has his own yard, Hanseatic Marine is planning additional innovative yachts.

Based on the profile of early pilot cutters, this elegant 47m luxury yacht combines classic traditional lines. It includes plumb bow and elegant counter. The elegant lines are drawn by Gerard Dykstra and Partners, whose expertise in performance-orientated classic yachts is arguably second to none. They have married sympathetic period features such as gentle sheer, open deck space, neatly-proportioned deckhouses and skylights, above the waterline, with a modern, easily driven hull shape below. The canoe underbody sports a fully ballasted lifting keel, carbon spade rudder and low wetted surface areas.

Royal Huisman luxury yacht will be a lightweight yacht whose sea keeping and performance will be complemented by style, comfort and amenity below. Rhoades Young Design will draw upon classic references and traditional craftsmanship for a mellow and invitingly luxurious interior.
