Designer Andrea Ponti presents Traccia concept, a phone designed to be held like a pen that recognizes hand movements and converts the same into commands. An embedded optical sensor located at the end of the stick detects the traces of what is being written and a special software then converts them into text, commands and functions.

This concept would probably make an ideal phone for someone who hates typing on a touchscreen or physical keypad, possibly because writing comes easier to them. A camera is positioned at the center of the arc under the display, allowing you to take pictures when necessary. You probably won’t see such a phone produced anytime soon, but it’s still an interesting concept.
