Some month ago was released new Absolut vodka with no label or logo. Absolut Vodka’s company slogan is: “In An ABSOLUT World, There Are No Labels”. Absolut No Label Vodka’s bottle is naked and numbered. Absolut’s latest project has a limited edition.

It features only a removable campaign sticker with the website address, where consumers can find more information and give feedback. The creators decided to challenge labels and prejudice to make the world more diverse, vibrant, and respectful through new limited edition spirit. The bottle’s capacity is 700 ml. Price: $30.

The recent cool whiskey that attracted my attention is Washington wheat whiskey from Dry Fly Distilling. It is packed in a liquor-designed bottle, adorned with a fly fishing lure in brilliant red, accented by a red cap and a label with a somewhat metallic-looking background. This bottle is a true work of art. Dry Fly Wheat Whiskey to have official release on August 3rd. On August 7th it will appear in stores. A limit of 2 bottles per person will be in effect. The owners expect the new to wheat whiskey be a hit.

Since it takes a full year to age, Dry Fly’s Washington Wheat Whiskey output will be much smaller than the roughly 6,000 cases of gin and vodka the distillery will sell this year. The owners say they’ll bottle the new whiskey entirely with friends and family, for this year anyway. According to research Fleischmann and Poffenroth have done, this will be the only all-wheat whiskey commercially made in the U.S. and the first sold commercially here in the past 150 years. Price: about $47 per a bottle.

There is a variety of curry, Asian sauce-based spicy dish, each has a specific name, generically any wet side dish made out of vegetables, meat, sea-ingredients. The world’s most expensive curry was served up at upmarket London eatery Bombay Brasserie. Samundari Khazana curry, that means Seafood Treasure, is made of caviar, sea snails, a whole lobster and edible gold. Price of this luxury dish is $3,290 a portion. Head chef Prahlad Hegde said such price tag will still be snapped up, despite the recession.

He told The Sun, ‘There are still people out there with money to spend and this curry is a real experience.’ The chef prepares the dish with Devon crab and white truffle, while his assistant painstakingly presses gold leaf to half a cherry tomato filled with Beluga caviar. ‘The idea is from a basic Indian recipe I got from my mum but we are using the finest ingredients in the world,’ said Mr Hegde. The curry has been created to coincide with the DVD launch of Oscar-winning flick Slumdog Millionaire, which is set in India.
