According to reports from the Zasavica reserve, near the town of Sremska Mitrovica, the world’s most expensive cheese is being made at the north of Belgrade. Pricy Pule cheese is produced from Balkan donkey milk and put a price tag of EUR 1,000 on one kilogram. While one liter of Balkan donkey’s milk is priced at EUR 40.

Except cheese they produce cosmetic creams, soaps, and a type of liqueur – all made from donkey milk. “Nobody was willing to make it, because it contains low levels of milk fat, but we wanted to have a rare product and attract people to first come to the nature, and then try products made from (the milk) of ancient breeds,” says Zasavica Special Nature Reserve Manager Slobodan Simić.

Absolut, renown vodka brand, introduced to the global market in 1979 and produced in southern Sweden, is the third largest brand of luxury alcoholic spirits in the world after Bacardi and Smirnoff, marketed in 126 countries. Swedish designer Philipp Plein refreshed the bottle’s design.

Updated Absolut bottle is dressed in black decorated with precious Swarovski crystals drawing a skull and have a percentage of alcohol by 50 degrees. The artist has created 100 bottles, each with a personal touch. Price: 100 Euros.

Enjoy seafood? And what about luxury and expensive seafood? The Fish Society, UK just before Christmas holidays launched the most expensive seafood hamper in the world. Their “Caviar & Crustacean Atomic hamper” contains 17 kinds of seafood including 16 inch long giant Siberian crab legs, extra large crab claws from Chile, freshly cooked native UK lobster, four kinds of prawns including monstrous prawns from Madagascar weighing in at half a pound each, assorted more humble but nevertheless crucial shellfish, and as the magnificent centerpiece, 750g of Sevruga caviar.

The selection is carefully balanced between ready-peeled items and fish still in its shell (less efficient but an essential element in the excitement). 9.3kgs of edible weight (15kgs gross), so even the most gluttonous guests will be sated. “Atomic” includes double helpings of caviar and crab leg (11 kg edible weight). The Fish Society’s ‘Caviar & Crustacean Blowout and Atomic’ seafood hampers can feed up to 30 people at a cost of £1,500 or £2,500 (~$4,000 US).
