Recently Dior presented new fragrances - Dior Homme Sport. Drawing inspiration from the speed of cars and racing, Dior’s explosive fragrance starts with grapefruit, bergamot, elemi and Sicilian lemon notes. Heart includes Atlas cedar and vetiver, with spicy ginger aromas. Base notes bring sandalwood mixed with aromatic notes of lavander and rosemary.

It follows the tradition of Dior Homme aromas and is shaped with a flow of refreshment. This fragrance is dedicated to younger audience and presented as a fresh scent of luxury. The perfume is available in 50 ml (1.7 fl.oz.) and 100 ml (3.4 fl.oz) EDT bottles. Price: $50-$70.

Procedures’ steps:
1. The areas to be treated are covered with a numbing cream and injected with local anaesthetic.
2. The 24 carat, 0.1mm diameter, 99 per cent pure gold thread is implanted into the anaesthetised area, threaded within the skin under the epidermis using a 1mm gauge needle and a blanket-type stitch to create a net-like structure that will provide a mechanical support to the overlying skin.
3. The thread must be implanted accurately into the ‘papillary dermis’ - the layer of skin directly beneath the surface.
4. The doctor repeats this process in all the areas to be treated.
5. The face is cleaned and make-up can be applied to cover up bruised or red areas.

John Galliano, fashion designer and the artistic director for Dior Couture, on 8th of July launched his debut signature fragrance in the rather intimate settings of his studio located in the 20th arrondissement. The line goes “Le parfum no. 1 de John Galliano“. Previously he created a home fragrance with Diptyque under his name called Essence of John Galliano, a wonderful scent smelling of a bonfire. He also had a say in the Dior La Collection Particulière. The signature John Galliano perfume was developed by Selective Beauty who is also in charge of the Bulgari, Agent Provocateur, Burberry, and Benetton brands.

Galliano was involved with every step of the scent’s development. Its outer box is designed to look like a collage or a book, reminiscent of travel tomes he makes following fact-finding voyages undertaken before creating fashion collections. The bottle’s neck was inspired by collars appearing in Galliano’s first fashion collection, Les Incroyables, and the flacon is topped with a Gothic G. Model Guinevere Van Seenus is the face on the box. The perfume is going to be launched commercially in France, Germany, Switzerland, and England in mid-October 2008 and will debut elsewhere in 2009.
