I have never been interested in pencils but found it hard to escape the 240th Special Edition Graf von Faber-Castell Perfect Pencil. The news seems to be old but I am not going to miss it. To commemorate the 240 year anniversary of Faber-Castell (established 1761), the company let loose a limited edition of the Perfect Pencil in white gold or stainless steel. The pencil had an official price tag of €9,000 (available on eBay at discount).
The pencil is like luxury in simplicity. It has a cover featuring built-in sharpener and the wood used is made of 240 years old olive wood.
