The Presidential Suite at the Waldorf=Astoria: This may be one of the most famous presidential suites in the United States, because at one time or another, it has accommodated every President since Herbert Hoover in 1931. Because of this fact, this Presidential Suite has been decorated to resemble the interior of the White House; I guess to make the Presidents feel more at home when they stay here. This 35th floor suite is almost 3,000 square feet in size, offers an awesome view of Central Park and features an old-world art deco styling throughout. The suite has 4 bedrooms in all, and is decked-out in marble and hardwood floors.

There are private elevators to the suite, and a private butler that is available 24/7 to get the occupant whatever their heart desires. At about £3,750 a night, it’s not for everyone, but many dignitaries have stayed in this luxurious suite over the years. A short list of these famous leaders include: Queen Elizabeth II, General Charles de Gualle, King Hussein, King Faisal, and Emporer and Empress Hirohito of Japan. The rich history of the Presidential Suite in the Waldorf=Astoria holds many stories, including stories of JFK and Marilyn Monroe flings during JFK’s tenure as President. Many other celebrities have been spotted at the Waldorf=Astoria including Winona Ryder, Michael J. Fox, Ewan McGregor, Kid Rock, Paris Hilton (practically grew-up here), and many more. There have been multiple films shot at this hotel as well including Scent of a Woman, Coming to America, and Serendipity in 2001.
