If you are eyeing luxurious bath then you must be looking for most expensive Bathtub produced ever. The Archeo Copper Bathtub along with the bath set and hand shower from Kallista is a complete kit. Albeit there exist few pricey conventional bath tubs but what catches customers here is its tag of being the most expensive bathtub in production.

Literally speaking, Archeo stands for “ancient and beautiful” in Greek and this perfectly illustrates this solid copper bathtub that is hand-crafted by the same coppersmiths who reinstated the Statue of Liberty’s torch. Measuring 65″ (L) X 31″ (W) X 30″ (H), the bathtub is 21″ inches deep and weighs 154 pounds. It can hold 71 gallons of water (can bath number of times) and is complemented by an elegant, fluted-shell copper bathtub faucet set with hand shower. It also flaunts a turn knob that is finely engraved with a starfish residing on a seashell.
Price: $67,550

I guess like me, you too might be quite used to seeing diamonds in places that least requires their presence, for instance, this skull that you see in the picture.

This piece is done by Walter Robinson who has meticulously decked the skull with a superman logo, studded with diamonds, and named his creation as Cephalogo. The skull is made out of plastic, metal and ‘found’ material. After learning about the $100 million diamond encrusted skull designed by Damien Hirst, this one does not come as a surprise to me!

Earlier it was told you about the gold plated toilet priced at a staggering 250,000 Euros, so a swarovski crystal studded toilet won’t come as a big surprise to you (though it did to me). This one comes from the same maker who earlier lured the rich folks with their chrome-plated toilet.

But, for those who demand more, there is “Isis” collection that features blinged-out bathroom fixtures designed by Jemal Wright of Hollywood, Florida. The iced-out toilet featured here comes fully encrusted with swarvoski crystals. The artist even has a matching sink up for grabs and if that is not enough, the artist is also planning to complete an ice-encrusted double slipper tub by spring of 2008. The swarovski-decked toilet comes for a stunning price tag of $75,000.

I was wrong. The history of Valentine day is not years old but years-over-years old. I came across this 1790 valentine card; seemingly oldest that happens to be the world’s most expensive valentine card ever. It is being said that the sketch of this Valentine card disclosed by the Royal Mail was expected to generate a sale up £4,000, if sold. At present this card is being placed at the British Postal Museum under their records but unfortunately there could not be any proud bidder for this as they have no plans to sell it.

The card is a handcrafted puzzle that unfurls to expose poetic letters, far away from the short love-giggles mentioned in today’s Valentine’s cards.
The face of the card reads:
“My dear the Heart which you behold,
Will break when you the same unfold,
Even so my heart with lovesick pain,
Sure wounded is and breaks in twain.”
A spokesperson from Royal Mail Patrick O’Neill shared that they are geared up to produce over 12 million Valentine’s cards but doubt if even a single card could beat the verse imprinted on the one featured above. And here it gives me an opportunity to pen down my logical opinion. The well-calculated cost of the card at £4,000 cannot be expensive than one made by one’s own self for his/her beloved.

Ever thought a bug could clean restrooms? Recently a group of enterprising companies unveiled an autonomous ladybug-shaped robot that has the capability of cleaning public restrooms at highway rest areas. The robot measures 1-meter (39-inch) tall, 1.35-meter (53-inch) long and is called “Lady Bird“. She is equipped with water tanks, brushes and other tools required to maintain the place spick and span. With its obstacle detection sensors, it makes sure that it doesn’t bump into people.

What’s more this cute bot can even make polite conversation with the loo visitors via its antennae, which has speech recognition capabilities and a voice synthesizer. The restrooms on the highways are the ideal places to pick up info on the traffic scene, so this bot obliges the users with that info as well. The developers, who are building Lady Bird for West Nippon Expressway Company Limited (NEXCO), plan to master the machine by March 2009, and they hope to one day see it cleaning toilets at hotels and other institutions. Lady Bird robots are expected to sell for about 3.5 million yen ($30,000) each.
