We’re getting reports from readers this morning that Apple’s newest living room contender — the Apple TV — is now shipping.

After months of pre-order agony, eMails are arriving in the inboxes of the faithful detailing shipments and tracking numbers. Of course, you know what this means don’t you? The first unboxing ritual is just days, if not hours, away.

Apparently you aren’t a real Wii fan until you get some gaudy, terrible case for it to show your love. Sure, there have been some cool casemods for the Wii, but this is just terrible.

GENEVA — Hummer is making news this week in Geneva, but not at the auto show.
Swiss watchmaker TechnoMarine has introduced a lavish gem-encrusted edition of its Hummer-brand watch. While the standard Hummer XS Magnum Square timepiece retails for $1,495, the new Diamond Hummer model will fetch a cool $5,500.

The XS Magnum Square model is a stainless steel chronograph with a black rubber strap that has been cleverly molded to resemble all-terrain tire treads.

The high-zoot version comes with 2.5 carats of full-cut white diamonds, and the strap has been upgraded to white rubber. To show off your fancy timepiece, TechnoMarine also throws in a leather-lined wooden case.

The company’s line of Hummer watches starts at $895.

Swiss company Sarcar has found a way to add yet more diamonds to a watch.

In their Solitaire watches a bezel set one carat diamond rotates around a dial set with a carpet of diamonds. The watch comes in red or white gold and the bezel and dial are set with brilliant-cut diamonds and the crown features a diamond. The watch has a crocodile leather strap and there is also a limited edition Royal Solitaire watch with a gold and diamond set strap. The standard Solitaire will cost you around six figures.
